My first beef: Crash won best movie of the year. Are you kidding me? This was the most unoriginal film I have ever seen with the most trite script, acting, and storytelling. It beat Capote, Brokeback Mountain, Munich and Good Night and Good Luck. Unbelievable. I really think that they should demand a recount. The only reason this movie won was ( Read more... )

I totally agree that Dolly Parton was robbed. Her performance was great. Everyone in the audience was smiling while she was singing and I thought that was so cute.
And I agree that Meryl Streep and Lily Tomlin were hilarious.
I wasn't so worried as to why Jennifer Aniston was there, but I was wondering why Gary Busey was there. I'm still wondering actually.

Yeah, I didn't mind Jennifer Aniston, either, but if we're on the subject of bad fashion, let's all give Charlize Theron's giant-ass shoulder bow a big round of applause. What the eff was that? I don't care if it is some big name designer's gown straight off the runway. It was ugly. My addition to the list of "Why is she here?"'s is J.Lo.

Also, I don't think we can criticize a past winner's previous movie roles when this year's winners were in 'Legally Blonde' (loved it, but it's not exactly Oscar material), 'Twister', and '40-Year Old Virgin'.

Yeah, Charlize's dress was super fugly. Kim said that she read that whoever was sitting behind her (Matt Dillon) couldn't even see.
I wasn't criticizing Halle Berry's Oscar win because of past performances. I was just adding those bad movies in addition to the fact that I didn't think she should've won at all for her acting in Monster's Ball, but that's neither here nor there.
