Today is my father's birthday. He is 48. I don't have much to say about my father today - just a few things. I love him - I didn't always feel comfortable saying that about him though. My epiphany today: I have spent the last 3 years or so ignoring my own desires, emotions, and issues. I spend more time being concerned with other people's affairs that I forget my own. Then, they manifest themselves, unpredictably, and I am either unprepared to deal with them or scared to.

to be a Christian. I know that I fall short of perfection - I swear and curse, my tongue does not always utter exaltations, my first motive is not always to love or be kind, and the list goes on... So, I woke this morning determined to go to church - it is Easter... or was, it may be Monday by now. However, as it seemed the elements were not in my favor - congestion, drousiness, dehydration, and swollen glands causing a sore throat kept me in my room all morning.
