About to watch the first episode of Vikings. I know it's the History channel and not HBO, or Showtime, or Starz, but please, OH PLEASE, let there be some great, if not graphic, scenes of violence and carnage. It's just been that sort of week at work and I need the catharsis of pretend violence to help mitigate my own desire to blow up head office,

Sooo, what did you think?

I had heard about the show, but couldn't remember when it was airing. Last night I'm flipping through the channels and see that the 1x02 is just about to start. Gotta say, I like it. I like it a lot lol.

I may or may not be incredibly attracted to Ragnar. RAWR. LOL. I pretty much love the whole Lothbrok family. Lagertha does not fuck around lol.

The violence was pretty awesome too. When Ragnar stuck the sword through that guy and it came out the other end during 1x01! Jesus. LOL.

I've seen both episodes that have aired so far I enjoyed it a lot. I wish there had been more fightiness and stabbiness in the premiere, but that was just the mood I was in at the time. Hee. The stabbiness we got was good, though. I really like the time period and the setting.

I may or may not be incredibly surprised by this. LOL. (Hint: NOT SURPRISED.) As you know, I'm not into blonds so he's totally not my type, but he does have a lot of charisma and is an interesting actor to watch and that's a very important trait for the lead to have. He reminds me of Charlie Hunnam in that way, actually.

Floki, played by one of the Skarsgård clan (they're taking over!!! LOL), is hilarious and I've really been enjoying him as the comic relief. The other actors are good, too, so yeah, I'm really hopeful and optimistic about the show.

Oh! And OMG I LOVE the opening credits sequence with its visuals and the music. It's fantastic.

Ah yes Floki. He doesn't joke about boat making, let's all get that straight lol.

I've been itching for something new to look forward too lately and this show is really hitting the spot so far. I'm seriously trying to restrain myself from watching E3 on the history channel's website, but I think I'll cave before the night is over.

Me too! I was actually looking for a gifset of it on tumblr and had no luck finding one. :(
