I had my first meeting with my supervisors today. I have been learning how to use fTCD (functional transcranial Doppler sonography) for examining cerebral blood flow. I want to conduct a follow-up study related to my final year project, in which I would investigate physiological correlates (i.e. blood flow) of bilingual language lateralisation to hopefully support the behavioural data I collected ( Read more... ) -

According to Helsingin Sanomat (Helsinki Times), you are not supposed to have more than 300 grams of red meat per week, whereas Finns have 200 grams per day on average. Having red meat, apparently, increases the risk of intestine cancer. Interesting!
