Have you tried those canned coffees that self heat, using lime I think it is? Buy them at Coles, intriguing but the taste is just like that coffee in a toothpaste type tube: condensed milk flavour. Sometimes that condensed milk flavour is okay, like Macca's watery perculated coffee, when you're in a road trip mood I guess, but not after all the ritual of getting this lime heated coffee ready.

I think I prefer the Doppio version myself, but yeah. I've been wondering if it'll shake up the market a bit, force the big guns to make something decent for a change.

Speaking of coffee, I went to this small refresher day ages back, and should come round and impart the knowledge I received! I even asked questions, and took notes. Felt good to be behind a big machine again. Just at Pelle's. The small lever-based system on their Cimbali is interesting. Hadn't seen it up close before. Not as good as I imagine that antique of yours would be, but nicer than pressing a button.
