there is no 'deal' it was simply to say that it is thanks to meta that the shirt is made (more or less his idea) as well as that the cash will go to meta (the dual meaning of xx no tame in japanese). Any association with the organization called metaのtame is incidental. /or i shouldn't say purely incidental since the heading of blog-entries based on other tokyo institutions is a bit of a habit here - for example 'the week in cycling' the title of the previous entry was initially a blatant rip-off of of jean snow's now seemingly defunct eponymous blog-column.
Thank you for your interest. I have since removed the title to avoid further confusion.

That is a beautiful shirt. Knowing your proven ability to sell things for what they are worth (that is somehow subtly mixed with suggesting some sort of lesson about values in general) I wondered about the idea of attaching an established charity to the sale of the shirt: part of the profits are donated to a charity that Meta would like to support. That would likely require some liason between yourself and the charity to sanction it and provide you and Meta with a donator number of sorts.

i've never been quite covinced by modern forms of charity (though i do sort of like the old christian idea of caritas) and at the moment particularly the biggest guys in the charity business are definitely not people i have much respect for. I'd feel more comfortable to just hand over some actual tshirts to the homeless guys in the park near here but i don't think they'd care that much about the printing, they're always pretty happy though when i give them an old sleeping bag, a woolen jumper and stuff like that. maybe if these tshirt sales go through the roof then with meta's agreement might set up the shinjuku park woolen jumper fundation // i appreciate your optimism and positivity about my marketing skills :-)

Why didn't you ask a Susie or a Koji to model it for you?
