If you're looking to whore yourself to the public like my good self, Debenhams has a sign in the window, and Benefit have posters up about jobs with them. I'm sure you're above the perils of retail though.
The dole people can be absolute nutsacks sometimes, it's true.

Thanks for the tip about Debenhams, I'm going to go down there tomorrow - I'm looking for pretty much anything central, retail isn't above my station :p LOL in the last few years alone I've worked in Currys x2, GAME, Accessorize etc. as well as a few call centres. It's mainly shifts that bother me - I'd rather do 2 or 3 full days a week, than 4 hours for 6 days or something :/ but right now I'm going for pretty much anything.
Yeah the dole people suck - it was basically a case of "well your partner earns enough to keep you both, so you aren't entitled to anything, you are classed as a family". Me - "but we aren't married, so not family, so he shouldn't bear the responsibility of having to pay for me surely?" *blank stares followed by apology but there's nothing we can do* /blah
