Okay. I have decided when I am going to go check out Portland. Around the first weekend in November. It will be at the beginning of colder period but not at the worst - good time to make a fair assesment. Of course that has nothing to do with why I want to go to Portland then. That has more to do with the fact that Portland is the city hosting

Portland completely kicks ass. You will not be disappointed in that city! November is part of the rainy season, but if you don't see Portland soggy then you're not really seeing Portland at all.

Talked to someone I knew from back home who was up there for a mutal friends wedding just last night. He says he plans on relocating up there after the summer.
