Enlightenment?

Several of the entries I have read on my friends page during the last few months have reminded me of a conversation I had with a friend in real time about two or three years ago. This conversation dealt with the metaphysical nature of order and chaos, the nature of the void versus the primordial storm

Sounds like path of serpent vs. path of the flaming sword, really. Both lead to the same place eventually.

Is it in the nature of these paths that someone who feels a really strong affinity for one will have an aversion to the other? Or did my friend and I just share an oddly similar quirk?

Uhm, for that matter, what, in general terms, are these paths (are they related to a specific esoteric group or style, etc) and where can I find more info?

Oh, I am referrig to Qabalah, where the "good" path is the path of the flaming sword, which adds up to 777, and the "bad" path is the path of the serpent which add up to 665 (hmmm...)

enlightment? fear nothing and enlightment will come itself i think. even if that fear is chaos or a storm..dont be afraid to cause one for the sake of being right i guess. me partially insane too.
