The past week has gone from bad to worse, and it currently looks like it's not going to let up anytime soon. It all pretty much started coming to a head when I found out that a passenger on the street car is seeking damages now too. I was having a good day that was making a rather down week seem to end on a good note. Then, life threw me a curve ( Read more... )

"I also ask any and all that are fellow believers to also pray for me."

Agreed. Hope things don't stay all depressing and stuff for long...

Hey man, I appreciate the prayers. We can never have too many. Even when things are going well, we all need a few more prayers. I'll make sure to send a few your way. Never hurts....

Ill pray for you. Yesterday, our pastor read us a story from www.mountainwings.com I think it might help you:

A young man was at the end of his rope.

Seeing no way out, he dropped to his knees in prayer.
"Lord, I can't go on," he cried. "I have too heavy a cross to
bear."

The Lord replied, "My Son, if you can't bear its weight, just
place your cross inside this room. Then, open that other door
and pick out any cross you wish."

The man was filled with relief and said "Thank You, Lord," and
he did as he was told.

Upon entering the other room, he saw many crosses.
Some were so large that the tops were not even visible.
He spotted a tiny cross leaning against a wall.
"I will take that one, Lord," he said.

The Lord replied, "My Son, that is the one you just brought in."

When life's problems seem overwhelming, it helps to look around
and see what other people are dealing with.

You may consider yourself much better off than you imagined.

This is true, there are people with bigger burdens to bear, but I also rarely cry wolf. So many things happened in such a small time (interestingly enough, all involving cars in one way or another) that it has been more than I can normally handle. Any one of these things might not have been so bad, but it is the fact that many things have come in rapid succession that I am finding it hard to handle them all. And to be honest, at least two do not have any ending in sight. Even assuming I live in Japan for as long as two years, I may still be fighting the street car lawsuits (which are totally bogus) when I get back. This is disconcerting.

But, thank you again for the prayers. We all need them, and I'll do my best to send some your way as well. Even when things are going to well, we all still need prayer.
