Another life goal finally accomplished

Today, I finally got to do something I've wanted to do for a long time. I played with Gallium! It wasn't quite as I imagined it since it takes so long for it to melt, but once it melts, it's WAY cooler than I thought. For those of you that don't know, Gallium is directly under Aluminum in the periodic table and has many interesting features.

awesome...I just got accepted to my research position yesterday...we'll be studying Juvenile hormones...mostly the differences in Juvenile hormone III and the secretions of various hormones that moths emit...cool stuff...

yeah, well, we're all geeks in one way or another...
and, i'm not exactly a science geek myself, but Gallium sounds groovy. :P if it weren't expensive i myself might check it out. ah well.
