INFORMATION
Name: Anita "Needy" Lesnicki
Age: 17
Fandom: Jennifer's Body
Physical Description of Character: Anita is a fairly normal looking girl. She has long blond hair, often curled though if brushed out is only wavy, and of the same length. She has blue eyes and fairly pale colored skin, and wears little make up either because she has no reason for it or because she doesn't have any. Even her height is average (she's a mere 5'2"), neither too tall nor short to even out her light weight frame of 120 pounds. Her closet has always been full of normal clothes, nothing too flashy or tight - Anita became so used to letting Jennifer be the pretty one that her own wardrobe became bland out of habit. In fact, everything about Anita's everyday appearance is from growing up with Jennifer. Her current attire is a gray, sleeveless hoodie under a jean jacket and a pair of ragged jeans.
Point in Canon: Post Movie
Personality: Anita used to be a very sweet girl, nothing unusual about her aside from being a teenager. She was boring, typical, and quite the dork by everybody's standards. Even now she could still pull it off if she wanted to, but this side of her, this naive girl, died hours before her incarceration. Even Needy admits that she's changed, she's become a person that curses, and kicks orderlies for next to no reason. Anita has turned into a cynical girl, twisted by the occurrences in Devil's Kettle and the necessary murder of her friend. The saying keep your friends close and your enemies closer is now a live-by motto, and she is cautious of almost anybody that she comes across - even old men offering to give her a ride.
She's not all sharp tongued and revenge bound however. Her sarcasm may serve as humor for either herself or anybody listening. She will sometimes revert to inside jokes that she had shared with Jennifer, and entertain herself regardless of the company around her. She refuses to be like Jennifer, however. The innocent deserve protection from the demons like her, and if nobody else will protect them than she has no problems getting her hands dirty to do the job. That's not to say she's any kind of super hero; heroes don't harbor the blood of demons. She just won't be the villain either.
Some fun side quirks of hers are that she talks to herself, something she was often chastised for by Jennifer, and she has quite the inner monologues going. Luckily, those tend to stay in her head, or she would seem crazier than she feels.
History of the Character: Life was always normal for Anita. She lived with her mother (who often worked late nights) in Devil's Kettle and had a best friend, and eventually a boyfriend. Her boyfriend, Chip, was sweet and loving - though hardly considered “hot” by the popular crowd, and was a trusted person that she could go to whenever there was something wrong. Her best friend, on the other hand, was the popular girl Jennifer. Jennifer was every guys dream girl, and the one every girl wanted to be. But not Anita, she was happy just being her friend and supporting her from the side lines.
One night Jennifer invited Anita to go out. There was no choice, really. When Jennifer wanted to go out, Anita went. The two dressed up (Jennifer always had to dress cuter of course) and went to the local bar where Jennifer’s current band of the week was playing. Getting hit on was part of the plan, and Anita stood by as Jennifer chatted up the band members until it was show time. During one of their songs, the bar set fire and Anita had to force Jennifer out the bathroom window to save them both. All seemed to be safe, but that same band appeared and asked that the girls come with them. While Anita refused, Jennifer readily joined the boys and that was the last that Anita saw of her best friend.
That night, Anita was on the phone with her boyfriend when there were sounds of an intruder downstairs. Afraid but curious, Anita investigated to find nobody - however it was Jennifer that suddenly approached from the darkness and she was covered in blood. Terrified for her friend, Anita tried to figure out what was wrong, but Jennifer only complained about being hungry before vomiting blood that covered her entire kitchen floor. Then she was gone.
The next morning Anita went to class and was surprised to see Jennifer show up as well, perfectly calm as if nothing had happened. Since then, her best friend was something else. The following deaths that surrounded them eventually lead Anita to believe that they were Jennifer’s doing, or whatever it was that had Jennifer’s body. When confronting Jennifer about this, she learned that the band that had taken her were devil worshippers, and googled a sacrifice that clearly said they needed to kill a virgin to get their wish. Unfortunately for them, Jennifer was not a virgin, and so killing her did not work. Instead, something entered her body, brought her back to life, and turned her into the beast she was now.
On the night of their dance, Anita found Jennifer luring Chip to an abandoned building where he was killed as Anita tried to save him. Devastated by this, Anita only had one option left. She had to get rid of Jennifer once and for all. The entire student body would die without her.
Waiting for Jennifer to become weak, Anita snuck into her room and, after a short struggle, stabbed her best friend. Anita was, understandably, sent to a mental hospital where she would be treated, but they couldn’t hold her. Nobody could, not now. She had absorbed some of the power given to Jennifer and she used this to break out and find those band boys that started this whole thing. It was quite the story when they were found, bloodied and mutilated in their hotel room following her escape. Since then, nobody had seen Anita aside from one security camera catching her leaving the hotel room.
Magical Powers/Skills: After being bitten by Jennifer, Anita absorbed some of her demon powers (luckily it seems she doesn't need to feed on flesh to sustain this like Jennifer did). The most obvious is her enhanced strength, clearly not normal for a girl of her height, age, nor weight though it's nothing considered godlike - although it does help to walk through a chain link fence as if it weren't even there and to take on at least five grown men at once. The second, though used more rarely, is her ability to fly (or hover) for any given time so long as she's focused. When she becomes predatory, her eyes turn to slits much like a cats eye so the attack is not without warning.
Weapons: She carries no weapons, just uses what's available to her.
