Chapter two: Love is friendship set on fire

Kame and Jin stopped from their deep passionate kissing as they both needed to catch their breaths. “Lets go home, Jin!” Kame smiled. Jin nodded and started the engine while adjusting the volume of “Yorokobi No Uta” to its maximum. Jin held the steering wheel with one hand while he placed the other on Kame’s leg.
Maru and Ueda were quiet until Maru decided to say something. “What’s wrong, Ueda-kun?” Maru’s eyes were set on the road. “Nothing…” Ueda lied. Maru pulled over at a grocery store. “Wait here!” Maru smiled and left Ueda alone in the car for at least five minutes. Maru came back with two popsicles in his hand and Ueda smiled as he Maru had bought their favorite flavor, strawberry. They had stopped in the nearest park and ate their popsicles while sitting on a swing. “You looked good today, Ueda-kun!” Maru smiled. “You too!” Ueda replied. Maru then left his swing and hugged Ueda from behind. He held onto Ueda tightly because he knew Ueda would push him away any second just to feel that Maru would never let go of him. Ueda smiled he likes it when it’s only the two of them. Then, “Stop!” Ueda ordered, and the smile on his face was erased. Maru did what he was told, but had on a confused look. Ueda got off the swing, grabbed Maru’s collar and kissed him hard. After a few good seconds, he stopped and said, “Maru, let’s go home!” Maru smiled, grabbed Ueda’s hand and headed back to the car.
Koki and Junno stopped to eat in a restaurant. While waiting for their food, they both sighed. “You know Koki-boo, I don’t understand why all of them can’t be happy. I mean, they’re already dating each other so why long for someone else? Kame’s with Jin and Ueda’s with Maru, so why can’t it stay like that?” Junno asked. Koki drank his wine and placed his glass on the table before explaining. “Junno… You see, Maru liked Kame for the longest period of time. Since Kame was always paired with Jin, he didn’t bother to express his feelings for the younger one, especially when Kame is so blindly in love with Jin. Although Jin likes Ueda because they always composed lyrics together and thus thinks that Ueda understands him most, Ueda likes Maru because he feels most comfortable with him.” Their food was now on the table. “If that’s the case, then why is Jin with Kame and Maru with Ueda?” Junno asked in big confusion. “All four of them are in denial and afraid, because Jin loves Kame as well and Maru loves Ueda too.” Koki explained while munching his food. “Ah I see… I guess we really have to wait and see what happens but I hope they will find their happiness soon.” Junno grabbed Koki’s hand. Koki almost choked with his food. “Not in public man!” Koki was a tad embarrassed. Junno simply smiled and asked for their bill and then headed home.

Kame put on his pink apron and peeked into the living room. He notice Jin was asleep, so he walked towards him and kissed his forehead. “I guess no dinner tonight!” Kame purposely said it out loud. Jin grabbed his hand and pulls him down “Why do you always know that I’m feigning sleep?” Jin started tickling Kame. “Stop! So what do you want for dinner?” Kame asked while giggling. Jin stopped tickling Kame and said, “Anything you cook is fine.” Kame smiled and got up. Kame was washing the vegetables when he had felt Jin’s arms around his waist. “Do you know how cute you look with that pink apron on?” Jin whispered in Kame’s ear. “Jin… not now, I’m cooking dinner.” Kame’s knees weakened when he felt sweet kisses on his neck. Kame succumbed to the temptation and turned around. Jin lifted him up onto the kitchen counter and Kame started taking off Jin’s shirt and kissed him hard when Jin’s stomach growled. Both burst out laughing and Jin picked up his shirt and headed towards the living room. Kame jumped off the counter and fixed his apron. Both were dying of laughter inside. Kame finally finished preparing dinner and when he was about to call Jin to the dining table, he felt arms around his waist. “Let’s eat.” Kame smiled and they both sat down. “Itadakimasu!”
Maru and Ueda ordered take-outs as they didn’t want to cook. Ueda prepared the table while Maru prepared warm water for bath. He then sprinkled red rose petals onto the water. Ueda called out for Maru and Maru smiled as he noticed the dinner table had scent candles lit and most importantly, Ueda standing there with huge smile on his face. “Let’s eat!” Ueda sat down. Maru gave Ueda a quick kiss on the head and sat down. “Itadaikimasu!”
Junno and Koki were watching T.V. and Koki head was resting on Junno’s lap. “Ne… Junno, were you ever jealous of Kame?” Koki questioned. “Why would I?” Junno questioned back. Koki was surprised with the response he got. “Well, Kame and I are sometimes touchy and lovey, don’t tell me you were not even jealous for once?” Koki asked with curiosity. “Why? You want to join in their love square?” Junno got up furiously and headed towards their bedroom. Koki smiled. Oh how he loves to tease his boyfriend. He entered the room when Junno just finished a quick bath thus Junno’s hair was still dripping wet and had only a towel wrapped around his waist. “Hey sexy, are you still upset? You know I was only teasing.” Koki tried not to pounce on Junno. “Uh-huh take your pillow and sleep on the couch tonight!” Junno threw Koki his pillow. Koki dodged and pinned Junno down on the bed. “I don’t think so! Admit that you do get jealous not only over Kame but others too.” Koki says while he kisses Junno’s chest. “I give up.” Junno turned off the lamp.
Kame and Jin just finished taking a bath together and they dried each other’s hair while watching T.V. and eating chocolate ice cream, sharing a spoon. After watching, they lay down on the bed and made themselves comfortable. Kame used Jin’s arm as a pillow while Jin’s turned off the light. “Good night Kame-chan” Jin gave Kame a kiss on his forehead. “Good night Jin” Kame gave Jin a kiss on the lips.
Ueda and Maru just finished their romantic bath and they both changed into their matching pajamas and ate cookies and milk. Ueda wiped Maru’s white beard and laughed. “Let’s sleep!” He dragged Maru inside their room. Both lay down and smiled “Good night Ueda!” Maru adjusted his arm for Ueda to lie on. “Good night Maru!” They kissed on the lips and Maru reached to turn off the light.
All four wondered why their heart were aching…
