Chapter three: Love is like war: Easy to begin but hard to end

Jin turned in his bed unable to sleep. He turned again spotting his lover peacefully sleeping and watched the beautiful male quietly. A smile spread across his lips as he remembered the day he had said “I love you” for the very first time. Jin was uncertain why but it loved the memory to this day. Shaking his head from the memory, he kissed the actor’s forehead and quietly slid from the bed into the living room.
Jin turned on the television silently flipping through the channels while not finding anything interesting. He looked up at the ceiling allowing his body to stretch when something suddenly caught the corner of his eyes. It was Kame’s camera. Jin looked over the small device noticing the film was still not finished. Jin reached down to the drawer where he knew Kame kept all his professional photos and found photos for just about everyone. He removed the small drawer from the cupboard and returned back to the sofa.
Most of the pictures were of Kame and him. They looked so happy and loving. A small blush brushed his cheeks because he loved every picture of them together that he saw. He loved the facial expressions Kame would give just to him knowing it would always melt him inside. He also had found pictures of Junno, Koki, Maru and Ueda. He hated to admit it, but Ueda and Maru looked just as happy in their pictures together, just like Junno and Koki.
He paused as he found a picture he had never seen before. It was a picture of Nakamaru and Kame smiling happily together in a loving embrace. Suddenly, a pain filled his chest. Was this what jealously felt like? He tossed the photo back into the pile only to see a picture of Ueda and himself. He paused as he remembered that night’s incident…
Flashback
In honor of their debut KAT-TUN was holding a party after their press conference. Everyone went drinking and partied, maybe too, hard. Junno, Koki, Jin and Ueda were extremely drunk. Maru and Kame, being the only ones not completely drunk, decided to take pictures of the night’s events. After several hours of celebrating and endless drinking, Kame and Nakamaru decided to take the rapper and acrobat home in Nakamaru’s car. Jin and Ueda were left in the room alone along with a large mess.
“Jin! I’ll come back for you, okay?! We’re just gonna drop these two drunk heads at home!” Kame cried running back into the room kissing Jin on the crown of his head.
“Oh and Ueda, we’ll be back to help clean up so don’t worry!” Maru spoke softly ruffling Ueda’s hair.
The duo shut the door leaving Jin and Ueda looking at each other making them laugh. They were so drunk they didn’t even know what was funny or why they were laughing. Ueda laughed hard while attempting to push Jin over but missed in the end only having himself fall on top of the other. Jin tucked Ueda’s hair behind his ear and smiled softly up at the other. Suddenly, Ueda’s lips were on Jin’s in a soft kiss.
“We’re debuting!” Ueda cried breaking the celebratory kiss. Jin didn’t care what Ueda’s reason was for kissing him, he was just happy they had finally kissed. Jin leaned up returning the kiss hard and was surprised as Ueda allowed it to happen.
Jin couldn’t remember went else had happened as he was completely drunk and everything was in a blur. However, he remembered waking up as they lied both naked on the floor from exhaustion. He remembered the awkward silence between them as Jin got up grabbing his clothes furiously knowing he was about to be sick, When Jin had finished he returned back to the living room to spot Ueda pulling on his pants. Ueda turned to the younger male but just as he opened his mouth to speak the door opened with their boyfriends inviting them home.
End Flashback
Jin released a heavy sigh as he leaned back against the sofa. To this day he still wanted to know what Ueda was going to say. He still longed for Ueda frequently but was it love or lust? Jin felt his body begin to resist him and fall into a comfortable sleep. The rest of the pictures fluttered across the floor falling from the box only leaving the picture of Ueda and himself hanging from his fingertips.

Kame woke up to realize Jin was not beside him. He got up to check the living room knowing Jin had a habit of sleeping on his sofa. Jin would always complain that his back would hurt after sleeping in Kame’s bed. Kame turned the corner to reveal his boyfriend happily sleeping on the sofa with the television still on. Kame padded across the carpet grabbing a spare blanket along the way to wrap around the older male. Kame waved out the folded blanket but paused as he noticed his box of pictures on the floor and scattered pictures lying around it. Kame crouched down to scoop up the small memories but paused to see a certain picture in Jin’s hand. Kame took the photo from his boyfriend’s hands but realized it wasn’t a picture of Jin and himself. It was a picture of Ueda and Jin. Kame dropped the small photo and ran back to their bedroom closing the door behind him. Kame began to cry as he pressed his back against the door while sliding down to the carpet below him.
“Should I give up Jin…?”

Ueda stretched as he woke from his deep sleep. He smiled because seeing Nakamaru’s face so close in the morning was almost like heaven itself. Ueda gently poked Nakamaru’s nose in attempt to wake up the older man. Seeing as it was no use it was time to wake him the proper way.
“Good morning! Time to get up sleepy head!!” Ueda cried happily finally waking his lover. Nakamaru smiled lovingly and pilled Ueda into a tight embrace.
“Okay, you win…I’m awake” Nakamaru admitted while his eyes were still closed. “Let’s get ready!” And with that, both rolled from their comfortable bed to dress for the days events.

Koki woke up only to find himself naked and on top of Junno’s chest. He yawned loudly as he reached to turn off the alarm clock but his lover beat him to it.
“Morning Koki-boo!” Junno smiled softly at his boyfriend placing a small kiss to the submissive man’s forehead. Koki smiled
“Morning babe” Koki smiled in return as they both got up and headed to the bathroom for a stimulating shower together.

Jin woke up in the same position with the television still on but saw the blanket on the floor. Jin bent to pick up the blanket only to realize some of the pictures looked like they had been picked up. He saw something flicker from the corner of his eye to the floor. He looked at the small picture that had floated from the sofa to the floor only to see the same picture of him and Ueda. He placed it safely back into the drawer and turned to enter their bedroom. The soft sound of the shower running filled the room notifying him that Kame was in there. He stripped himself of all his clothing as he walked over to join his boyfriend.
“Morning Kame-chan” Jin hugged him from behind as his voice poured from him like honey.
“Morning…Jin” Kame turned to give Jin a fake smile.

All six members ate breakfast and left their apartments. They all arrived in the building just in time. A friendly hello was spoken to each other as they headed inside to their photographer’s office.
“Morning guys, today you guys are posing for Potato May issue! The theme is called “Sexy Secrets” so I want you to be as sexy as possible. Give it all you got and I’ll be waiting till you guys are finished getting ready” their photographer explained.
KAT-TUN left and began to get ready. Their make-up and hair had been completed and wardrobe was the last step. Everyone was quiet until Junno blurted out another one of his lame jokes which everyone laughed at.
“Something is wrong with Kame. He’s not looking at Jin…” Maru wondered while his eyes were fixed on both Kame and Jin while they laughed together.
They finished getting ready and began to leave for the photo shooting room. Everyone left the room except Kame. He stayed in his seat as his he had lost all will to move.
“Kame… Let’s go?” Nakamaru spoke softly while offering out his hand for Kame to hold onto.
“Nakamaru…am I not good enough?” Kame choked out.
“Kame…What’s wrong?” Nakamaru’s eyes widened knowing something must’ve happened but waited for an answer as he hugged Kame gently trying to console the crying male.
Ueda noticed Nakamaru and Kame were not in the shooting room. Ueda turned back walking towards the dressing room only to stop dead in his tracks at the doorway.
Ueda’s chest burned as he saw his lover in a tight embrace with Kame. Ueda stumbled backwards away from the door until his back hit a wall.
“I am tired...Jin I think I need you!” he thought as he turned running down the corridor.
