I feel that Language exchange is equal to catching a fish. You can lure them close but you have to pull on the rope in such a way that you can catch them without the rope breaking and losing them entirely.
Taka (30, my absolute limit): Lives near fujisawa. Emails are okay, not really equal with Japanese english/ratio but i made the exception because he's cute =x (where did that get me last time) A surfer/importer of car parts (Nis, shush :P) We were emailing for a bit but now he has to study for an exam until mid June. Yeesh, why contact me now then? = Meeting times 0 Plans = will contact when he's free in June.
Aiko (26): Travel agent, near shinjuku. Likes the usual stuff. Free weekends, but very busy with her job. Going to Okinawa soon. = Meeting times 0 Plans = 0
Yume (23): Hospital Nurse, usual hobbies. Likes swimming. free 3 days this month but emails are very limited. jap/eng ratio good. Meeting times = 0 Plans = 0
Naoko (27): Travel agent, in kawasaki. Very cool and very shy. She seems to be working out so far, just have to get some one on one time so we can actually talk. This is the girl I met with few weeks ago. jap/eng ratio good = Meeting time 1 = Plans = Sunday to the park!
Natsuyo (?): Facebook friend. In the US now, back in japan on the 18th. Not much info besides her profiles and pics. Yokohama. mostly english so far. Meetings = 0 Plans = 0
Amaya (??): Spanish friend from before, reconnected with her. All japanese no english. Meetings 2 = Plans 0 =\
Maki (28): university lab worker, tokyo (yamanote line) Writing a paper so wont know when she's available. equal jap/eng ratio Meetings 0 Plans = 0
Junko and family: Yoyogi. This is working out well. I give credit to Joe for this one. = Meetings more than 4 Plans = pending.
Maiko (28): Kawasaki. hotel staff in shinjuku. old nova student. eep! = meetings 0 Plans = 1, next 25th for food/drinks. Contact = we're text messaging pretty much every day so far. Hope she's this nice in person! Japanese english ratio is favoring japanese.
Aki (24): Music teacher, keio line, free sundays/nights. English ratio heavy! = Meetings 0 Plans 0
Hiroyuki (?): Facebook friend. English heavy, but nice guy and likes fishing. Possible tsuribori partner! Meetings 0 Plans 0 Contact some fun emails so far.
Not too bad considering I started this like hm... 3 weeks ago? I even made a little black book cause Im such a player ^.~ Nah it just happened to be black. But its so i can keep track of who is who and not screw up information and insult people. "So you're a travel agent? " "no im a nurse!" that kind of thing..
Hope I can make some good friends as well as practice my japanese. tired of having so so to no friends over here.
