I'm attempting to learn more about this livejournal thing. Unfortunately, my computer UN-saviness can only get me so far. My goal: a) to figure out how people put their stories in these darn things, b) join communities of interest and post comments. We'll see how it goes and how long it takes me to do this.

*sighs* this is such a dumb question and I will research it as soon as i post this reply (but here's to the hope that you might answer before i find the answer myself), but how does one LJ friend another? So far, I've just figured out how to join communities and actually post with pictures...

Go to the person's livejournal. Underneath the long banner that says "You are viewing whomever's journal", there's something underneath that that says "Add whoever as friend." Click it to add. Hope this serves as some sort of elucidation. I'm not good at explaining stuff. :\
