RUISROCK 2005
On Saturdaymorning i took my bags and tent and biked to the railwaystation. Anne was waiting for me there, she had our traintickets and our festivaltickets. So the train came, we hopped in and sat there up to Toijala. There we changed the train. This second train took us to Turku. 'Cause it was very early morning (clock was something like 9:45) and we were pretty tired, we had so darn freaky conversations. And we laughed all the time. And we laughed even more when we noticed that one girl was oiling her shoes LMFAO
Finally, when we got to Turku, we realized that we dont really know where to go from the railwaystation. "WTF, how can we find Marketsquare?"
Anyhow. Apparently we didn't look like we're so lost, because one girl wanted to hang around with us 'cause she didn't know how to get to the festivalarea. That was the Shoe-Oiler-Girl. LMFAO
Well, finally we found a bus that'd take us to Ruissalo. It was so crowded and it was hot and the trip took forever. Finally we were there. Ruissalo Camping. we paid and stuff and got nice yellow straps and then we set up our lovely tent (it's smallest ever, 140cm x 200cm :D).
Then bus again to the festivalarea. and walkingggg.....
The first band we checked was Sir Elwoodin hiljaiset värit. It was ok. That's all i can say about them. Next band was YUP. We found it too weird so we went to find something to eat. we sat and ate and listened to Sonata Arctica (*rolleyes*). Well. Then we went to see 22-pistepirkko. Haha it was pretty cool, they really rocked :D
Jukkapoika ja jenkkarekka was great too. It was... Chilly. Hot. Chilly. Hot. i dont know what.
Then played The Soundtrack of Our Lives. I dont like them so much but i have to say that they really rocked! In the end the vocalist ran to the sea and came back through the audience. Just great.
After that we attacked in the front row to wait for CMX. We sat there about 1,5h and our asses were getting a bit stiff... I don't particularly like them but ye they had a good set. After their gig they throw all kind of stuff. Anne got a towel!!! or well, to be exact, one-fourth of it. They had to cut it in four pieces 'cause there were three other girls too who wanted to own that fucking towel...
Later it was time to check Zen Cafe. They were good. I cried when they played "Todella kaunis". it was just so amazing.
After that we decided to go back to the campingarea. while walking back we listened to HIM. It sounded crappy. Ville Valo really sucks.
Our original plan was to walk all the way back to that bloody campsite. After 45minutes cheery walking we saw a sign. "SPA 5 KM". then we made a new plan; we'd take next bus to there. 'cause that campsite is a bit further than that spa.
We waited for a bus about 15minutes. we almost called a cab, but then we realized that we dont know where to call if we want to have a cab... finally when the bus came it was so fucking full. there was about 100 people and the door hardly closed.
Our tent was still up, our things were still inside the tent and everything was fine. except that some bloody seagulls had shitted on our tent. but it didn't really matter 'cause the shit wasn't inside of the tent.
night was freakyfunnyweirdcoolawesome. we slept about two hours.

Sunday was even hotter than saturday. we packed our bags, took them with us and went to the festivalarea by bus. we left our goods to the left-luggage-office and went in.
Originally we planned we'd check Phonodrive, but they didn't play at all due to sickening. So we just went to hang out to Puistolava. Indica was playing there. How lousy that band can be? it was awful.
When we got enough Indica we went to see Quintessense. It was pretty cool, nothing rocking stuff but you know, sun is shining, its really warm and you just lie on a beach and listen to some easygoing music.
Next was Suo, kuokka ja Jussi plays Beach Boys. We slept under the tree and listened those wonderful Beach Boys-songs. After that we went to see Apulanta. well. it was... ok. we were there about 30min and then we went to buy t-shirts. Anne bought 2, i bought 0. I hadn't got any money left so i couldn't even buy anything to eat.
Then we ran to see Hanoi Rocks. Not that i'd be a huge fan. i just wanted to get in very front so it'd be easy to ran to the first row to wait for The Hives. Well anyhow Hanoi Rocks was great. They really knew what to do to 'wake up' the audience. They played 25min too long, and they still didn't want to stop, so organizers put the eletricity off. Haha the band got mad, bashed some stuff, threw lots of things to the audience and then, finally, went away. it was great.
and i ran to the first row to wait The Hives and made sure that i got a good grip on the fence :D we waited a little bit over and hour. there was two swedish girls who tried to get our great first-row-places. they tried everything. they would have even paid to get those places. but haha we didn't move our asses. apparently they thought we wouldn't understand what they say if they'd speak swedish, so they talked pretty mean things about us. haha it was so funny. and then... they came on stage. Holy fuck it was so incredible! Great! The best ever! and i hugged Nicholaus Arson! i sang and jumped and screamed and totally got crazy. it was.... ♥
spirit was pretty rough while they played. people just pushed on and squeezed and stamped and uhhh i almost died. but it was cool.
after The Hives we ran to see The Ark. We got pretty good places, the second row. While waiting them we watched Egotrippi on the screen. They were good, too.But when The Ark came on the stage... Oh my god it was so sweet. Ola Salo is so gay. he's so FABULOUS. posh. It was great, he cursed in finnish. it was so freakin' sexy. When they played "tell me this night is over" i couldn't control myself anymore. i just criedcriedcried and ajklföfjksdjf i dont remember too much about it. and NB: i was totally sober for whole fucking weekend.
After that gorgeus ark-stuff we went to see Jonna Tervomaa for about 10minutes. she's ok.
and then. we went back home.
Afterall, whole weekend was splendid.
