Anyone out there have experience using Kryolan vs. Ben Nye? I'm totally addicted to the Kryolan Dual-finish Ultra foundation I just got, but it is a hair too dark for what I want to use it for. It's the lightest color they make, other than TV White (it's Alabaster), and it matches my skin tone exactly for daytime wear. I love the formula, but need ( Read more... )

I don't recall where you're at, but the costume shop on Alcatraz in Oakland or Berkeley (it's right on the edge of those two. I think it might actually be Berkeley) carries Ben Nye.

OH! I decided that I hated white paste makeup. I wanted something "natural" for Vampire events, so I ended up getting MAC's Face and Body Foundation in white. It's fairly translucent, so it'll whiten the skin tone without it looking like you're wearing paste. You can layer it for more whiteness, or mix it with your regular foundation. Awesome stuff.

You can only get it at one of the MAC pro stores. There's one on Union Street in SF
