Coming back from Fred Meyer today, I saw the most beautiful pre-sunset show in recent memory: a lower band of brilliant white cloud backlit by the sun, with bright blue sky above, surrounded by slate-blue backing clouds, and superimposed over all of it were low-flying, fast-moving wisps of grayish-white foglike cloud. Went out to feed the llamas, passing by a branch completely covered with the most delicate miniature crystals, shimmering refractions of light, emanating a rainbow or colors in a row, in berry like clusters, a frozen world of solid water waiting the opportunity for movement, for continued travel, exploring a solid captured potential of refracted light, rainbows emanated against a snow gray sky.
