The tab broke off the last can of beef and chicken food, leading to a great deal of frantic behavior from Katie...until I opened the carton of cat food that came a couple of weeks ago and got a can of light liver and chicken out. It was eaten not only with enthusiasm, but with effectiveness; for a change the noise coming out seemed roughly

You can open those cans with a can opener if you absolutely have to. I found this out a while back when a tab broke off the last can of food and I had no backup.

The last time the tab broke off a can I tried that...and failed miserably. Since there was something to fall back on, I decided that it would be less frustrating to just toss the can and get another one.
