To rewrite or not to rewrite?

I have an aunt who is in love with my fanfic "Coffee Shop Girl" and often begs me to rewrite it to take it from fanfic to original story. I've thought about it several times and I just can't really wrap my mind around the concept. I love that story too but it is still floating around in the fandom since there is no way of getting it removed from
