So, last weekend was the big San Diego Comic Con. For anybody not familiar with it, it is a massive pop culture festival that started as a simple comic book convention held in a hotel basement in the 1970's that has morphed into a teeming mass of comics, anime, video games, Hollywood celebrities, and nerds, nerds, nerds that numbered somewhere

Off topic question- but how do you embed a YouTube video like that in the reply space here on LJ?

Anywhere on LJ, in a post or a comment, you can use a pair of tags like this...

< l j - e m b e d > stuff goes here < / l j - e m b e d >

...to embed some Flash media. Just take the "embed code" from someplace like Youtube and paste it in between those tags. Go ahead, try it out, you can always delete your own experiments.

(remove all those silly spaces of course)

Ah yes, another 80's franchise revived. I remember the original scaring the heck out of me as a kid back then, especially the scene where the woman gave birth to a fork-tongued lizard baby. I should re-watch that series sometime...
