I think it's funny Will Ferrell played Marshall Willenholly in Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back and is now cast in this.

The movie synopsis mentions something like the 'menacing yet painfully slow sleestak'. Such an apt description. I was reading in Wikipedia that for the original 70's production, they had but three sleestak suits and did a lot of creative editing to make it look like there were more.

one sad time in austin, we stopped everyone entering a dorm to find out the smart sleestak's name. after two hours, one guy stopped and said '...Enoch!' it was horribly satisfying.

In World of Warcraft, the Un'goro Crater zone contains an homage to Land of the Lost. There are colored crystals you can collect and use in one of three cardinal point pylons to create new magic items (explosives among them). There are also Marshall, Will and Holly NPCs. Full of dinosaurs, that crater. No sleestaks, tho.
