Last night I was elected to the board of my home owners association. There were five open positions and five applicants so its not as impressive as it sounds. I've heard a lot of stories about HOAs from friends, almost all negative. Seems the majority of HOAs boards fall into the category of 'Lawn Nazis'; busy-body control freaks with aesthetic
