Cold day in Tigertown

Ugh. The downstairs heating unit (which is also the blower for the downstairs AC) is dead. Its been blowing cold air for a few days now. The repairman was just here to look it over and its a rusted-out goner. I've actually been expecting this since I moved in to this crap box condo. (I knew it was a fixer-upper when I bought it. What exactly is dead... the motor, the cage, the heating element?
Many of the parts van be bought cheaply at retail and save you a ton of labor expenses.

There are at least two components that require fixing and the whole unit itself is rusting out. If you saw it, you wouldn't be so optimistic.

Maybe so... but I have learned to live with "goonnuff" in recent years. If we can put off your spending 2,700 by spending a few hundred now, it makes sense.

I think I need to take a trip to Tigertown.

Too late. I ordered the new heater and its being installed Thursday morning. I needs me some heat.

Art, I'm sorry to hear about the cost of the unit, but the next time it gets cold, I'm glad you'll be warm.

Meanwhile, I think Deacon should use his stony fists to knock over a bank and help Art out.
