Lack of Enthusiasm for the New Year

Ok so I admitt I wasn't too excited about the New Year.  Not that I didn't want 2008 to come but I just wasn't into New Years Eve like I used to be.  Is that weird?

I used to have all these plans for New Years Eve and this year I just wanted to stay home and watch movies.  I had a party to go to but I never even made it there.  I feel like I am ( Read more... )

My new year is off to a real good start. I had to work today! How much fun is that? Well, I at least got paid time and a half for it, so it wasn't all for naught.

That sucks but I guess getting paid time in a half is awesome. I guess I am just not into the New Years thing anymore. Maybe I will be again this year.

It was no big deal in the end I guess. For me, it was just another day, but it still seems a bit weird to work on a day that is considered a "holiday".

Very cool about your friend going to ITT. He is not in my class. I have a class of about 12 people and I get about half that show up every time. Its actually kind of sad since most of the class is spent doing labs and actual programming and I am right there to help if they need me. Trying to do it on your own and at home or never getting to it is not a great way to dig into programming. Its a Saturday morning class so I think alot of the people are going out Friday and then having a hard time motivating themselves to come to a Saturday class. lol

Yeah I don't have tons of time to hang out with people anymore plus some of my friends and I have grown apart. I would like to meet people with more in common I guess.

No shit, its hard for me to get to the Saturday morning class! lol

Seriously though, that sucks about your teacher. I am actually there to help them and I stay as long as they need to work through the programming or great compiling errors that C++ throws. lol

Some of the students take advantage. A couple Saturdays I was there till 2 pm helping some of the students (class is supposed to end at 1:20 pm). I have no problem doing it since I want them to get it and be able to eventually understand it. I just get irritated when people don't actually make an attempt (like not coming to class).

This is class is only taught to people that want to be programmers, so if you don't like it then you should figure out a new major. Thats my thoughts on it anyways.
