Clarification!

I was gonna post this in response to a comment on my last post about snow, but decided I wanted everyone to understand where I am coming from when I say "I love snow." This is not a rant nor a slam on anyone, so please do not take it that way.  I just wanted to express clarification.  Here is the post ( Read more... )

Yeah, I too love snow. Hate cold, sleat, and ice...Usually. I DO have one fond memory of an ice storm. I live in a valley and one year I made the mistake of trying to drive to work after a particularly nasty ice storm. Luckily I was able to slide into a neighbor's driveway and got permittion to park it there till after the road crews salted and ashed the roads. Walking home was still treacherous but half way home my hunky next door neighbor was having the same trouble walking. Spent the rest of the walk home holding hands and trying to hold each other up. Unfortunately this is my story so of course he is straight :) Oh well he wasn't in my dreams that night....

Moments after I read your clarification, the sky began dumping frosty clumps all over my home. For entertainment purposes only, I'm blaming you, and offering the following otterel (like doggerel, only, by me...) in appeasement.

You Otter Know, There's Nothing Like Snow
There's nothing like snow, for sliding and gliding,
For soft romps and great hops and rolling and strolling,
There's nothing like snow, for thick blanket snuggling,
For cocoa and chestnuts and wrestling and cuddling.

Don't get me wrong, I like the snow as well. I like to look at it at least, but it is just too damned early for it. It isn't even Halloween yet. After Turkey day. That's when I'm happy with snow. (I'll even take the week of Turkey day) but until then. GRRR on snow.

Love you anyway!!!

I lived without snow for over two years when I had my job years ago down in Hermosillo, Mexico, and it just didn't feel right not having any white stuff around. So yeah, yaaah for snow and winter!
