It happens, dude. It's also rare that you'll find a job where you're happy AND make the money you want/need. I've only recently started to actually be ok with my work life, partially because I found an out and planned for it. Even if I'm not there yet, I can see the light.

On a side note, you're probably better off financing a new vehicle then fixing your old fan at this point, given the amount of crap involved in it.

I'm hoping to get into grad school, or at least move to Maine, and get a better job in about year.

Also, I'd love to finance a new car; unfortunately, I can't afford to. Ah well, I'll see if the ol' Pimpmobile can make it until I can afford to.

It took me awhile to be able to do as well. As it was, I bought shitty cars for awhile until I had a steady job that allowed me to finance a (used) car. I got screwed on the actual financing.... but I have one of the most reliable vehicles I've ever owned.

At least you get down time with your family after work... Nick hardly ever gets to spend time with us. Count your blessings man and stop bitching! :P

No word on grad schools yet? That sucks! And good luck finding a better job, I wish Nick could find one! If nothing turns up for him I've got my own plan to make money once the kids are old enough for part-time/ full time school.

Yeah, it's just that work gets to me after a while and I need to vent. This being my journal, I figured it'd be all right. :P As I discussed with Nick when I was down there, it's a trade-off: have more money and less time with the family or vice versa. Though, it's probably a lot better in terms of not getting burnt out, too. Or, at least, burning out slower. I am feeling better now, though.

As for grad schools, I haven't heard anything back because I haven't applied anywhere yet. Been too broke, due to my car deciding to break down repeatedly after I got back from Florida. I've just applied to UMaine, so, I'm hopeful.

Venting in your own journal?! That shit is unheard of man! :P

If Nick was making more money I wouldn't be as bothered by his many work hours. LOL.

Car troubles suck! Good luck with the grad school stuff!
