I was looking at
nyatsuuuu 's journal just now and she posted something about a Japanese name generator. Interested, I put in "Akito" and I got an interesting result...
First one was Akimoto with "Aki" meaning "autumn" and "moto" as in Yamamoto's "moto" (the second character for "Japan" in Japanese or Chinese.) It's not off from my stage name so that was sort of a nice name. My second one was very surprising.
MISAKI...?
The exact same kanji as the one for the actual "Misaki" in Junjou Romantica. LOL. Anyway, I burst out laughing when I saw it and my mom came in to check to see if I was okay.

rumandmonkey.com/widgets/toys/namegen/969/ Like every Tuesday, I had Japanese class and I'm actually very glad that I didn't skip class this time. We did our long-term journal entries project and a review of the last 4 chapters that we did so it was nice to to refresh my mind a little, after MTAC and all that. :D
Our teacher then showed us a video about an exchange program to head over to Fukuoka Daiichi High School in Japan for 10 months. The scholarship includes board, 3 square meals a day, and tuition. We only have to pay for personal expenses and the plane ticket there and back so it's actually a very good oppertunity to study in Japan and get to know the country.
I'm still debating what year to go though, since I still have to take all my course and stuff and already handed in the course selection. :\ But anyway, I want to go during next year or the year after that, since I want to go when I'm still around 16-18. I'd feel kinda old if I went there at 19. But if I have to, I don't really mind as long as I get to go. I have to write an essay about what I can contribute to the relations between Canada and Japan though, but I'm not too worried about it. I'm going to need to keep my grades up if I want to go though, since they look at all the stuff that you do there. And applying for a university kinda bothers me because I don't really know what I'm going to do once I come back from Japan. Guess I'll need an appointment with my guidance counselor. :D
