Do Canadians need a passport to drive into the U.S., or is it still just for flying and boating?

Well, I know that as a U.S. citizen, I've never needed more than my drivers license to get into Canada and back. But it doesn't hurt to bring your birth certificate, and your passport if you have one.

I have all, but my mother doesn't have a passport. We'll have her bring all her other vitals I think. Not enough time left to get her a passport.
