Here is a story that I saw on CNN. CNN is kind of pushing for the adopting parents, I feel, and they aren't telling the whole story. This is a link I found at a local newspaper that contains the fuller picture. It's a complex story, but in this case I side with the biological mother.

From a current-law standpoint, I think I also side with the biological mother. It seems like the adoption was done behind the scenes, and I'm not sure why they would expect a woman in jail to try to contact her infant son. However, it also sounds like the woman is largely unable/doesn't provide a good life for her children ( ... )

The reason I agree with the biological mother is because, like you said, the whole adoption procedure was conducted with a lot of errors. My biggest beef is with the day-care people (a pastor and his wife, I believe) that the sister asked to help take care of the kid. Apparently she asked them to be babysitters, they introduced the child to the Mosers and let the Mosers take him away, and when the sister's family went to ask for him back, they said they didn't have him and to not contact them anymore ( ... )
