In response to the truly awesome part of your post: CONGRATS ON FINISHING YOUR THESIS!!! :D Can I has? Please? :) My week's also been a bit hellish but not nearly so much - exams and a lot of difficulty scheduling a meeting with my employers this month to review my work from March.
In response to the makeup part of the post. :-P Yeah, I also still don't wear makeup. I actually think it just doesn't suit me, but it's probably the kind of thing that's shocking until you get used to it. :-P In either case I don't care to find out. I do sometimes find an open sore or sore-like break-out on someone's face distracting, but after a couple minutes I forget. :) I think you'd look just fine with a big red second nose. :D
Since you wrote three replies, I'm gonna reply three back! Haha!
THANK YOU about the thesis! I'm so happy it's done! And yes you may have a copy. How shall I send it to you?
Mostly I still don't use makeup on a regular basis. But for special occasions I pull it out. And while you may be non-discriminatory to bumpy red noses, a lot of people sadly aren't (poor Rudolph, for example). Yeah. But even if I do use it, I don't think you'll notice. Maybe we ought to put this to the test, haha.
Can it be sent via email. Eep! do you not have my email: [molecular-formula-for-my-last-name]@[my-college].edu where you should fill in those brackets with the 7 and 3 symbol respective answers. I wrote it weird because this particular thread is public, right
( ... )
gah! In other fashion-related news though, I have to buy a black-tie-worthy dress next month for a cousin's wedding in NY - he's rich and getting married in a huppa in a glass dome on top of a skyscraper in NY city... some people :-P
What's a huppa? And I agree, some people. I don't think I would choose a glass skyscraper dome...but then, I'm not sure where I'd choose. I'm ambivalent about a church. :P At least it's in NY and you won't have to travel far. And maybe you won't have to buy a whole new dress. Maybe a mix of classy shirt/skirt?
a huppa is a platform and canopy traditional in a Jewish wedding. I'm kinda expecting this one to be ridiculous though - 'tastefully' beautiful and elegant in the way that only a whole whole lot of money can buy... or luck and natural grace... but if you're doing it on the top of a glass domed sky scraper, only the money really works.
The only way a wedding is important to me is (1) in the actual statement of commitment which requires no ceremony, and (2) as an excuse to celebrate with friends and family... so, either something awesome with the friends and family I'd be excited to celebrate with, or something that makes dealing with large quantities of family otherwise tolerable. I donno, I haven't give any specific ideas much thought. :) In general though, if I could avoid making people dress up in uncomfortable clothes, I would! Definitely not black tie!
