screeching weasel is about as punk as it gets. & last i checked, no one was keeping score anymore...i don't think anyone gives a shit what is or isn't this or that, we all grew up somewhere along the line.

yeah, the internet failed to pick up the sarcasm once again. i really don't give a shit what anyone thinks about the punkness of the screeching weasel because they just rule that hard.

i am glad that people have realized that everyone's level of punk commitment is dumb though.

and thanks for the story below. i appreciate those kind of stories the most.

i wasn't being completely serious either. i think after everyone hit about 13, they stopped caring about whats "punk" & whats "poser" status. hahahaha. that shit's fucking ridiculous.

another story because i am bored& online...

one time, while walking out the door of b&n, the alarm went off. a worker was standing to the side of me working on something or another, an older lady with gray-ish hair. she told me to keep walking.

i still am lost on this one to this day. was she helping me out? did she fail to hear the incessant beeping? did i win a magical prize of genius-caliber? or did god just shine his bright rays of love right down into my lap...

i'm going with the last one out of sheer common sense.

b&n has a STRICT NO CHASE policy. corporate wide i'm told. they think it would cost more to stop people than if they just let them walk out... dummies. that came from an ex-employee.

yeah, i know a kid that was manager of the east lansing b&n. he said that the alarm would go off all day long and no one would do shit. he, himself, would walk out afer his shift with a bag full and the alarm would go off and no one ever said peep to him.

i've had the alarm go off once, and i haven't been back because of the recognizability factor. i have no idea if they'll stop me when they know i'm in there and politely ask me to leave, or call the strip mall security brigade on my dumb ass.

muskegon's b&n is definitely putting waaaay more tags in their books though.
