“Are you serious, anata?” Hikaru asked in surprise and received a nod from the older boy.
“Yes, you could go tomorrow.” Yabu convinced, smiling at Hikaru who was sitting next to him on the couch.
But the small smile on Hikaru’s face faded in flash as he realised he would go alone. “But, are you really not be able to accompany me???? Ryou, Yuuto, and Ryuu can’t either. They said they have business.” Deep inside his heart, Hikaru was wondering what business his children had now days.
“I’d really love to, but… you know… I have something to do, tomorrow.”
“Couldn’t you ask anyone else to do it so we could come together? Besides, tomorrow is the grand opening. I really want you to go with me.”
Yabu shook his head. “I’m sorry, sweetheart.” He tried to comfort the pouting Hikaru. “I can’t give that to anyone else. It’s something important that I should do with my own hands. And you aren’t going to go there all yourself, you have Daiki as a company. You always said he’s a nice buddy.” The last sentence he uttered contained a little forced tone.
“Daiki’s, indeed, nice… but it won’t be as fun as with you.” Hikaru was still pouting while folding his arms.
Yabu slightly chuckled. “Naa… don’t say that, Daiki will cry if he hears.” He was secretly happy to know that Hikaru was happier to go with him rather than Daiki-the baby face boy who recently got close to Hikaru-.
“He won’t, I guarantee it. He knows our relationship after all.” Hikaru answered in confidence.
“I’m relief then.”
“Anyway, Kouta-kun.” Hikaru said. “What’s the thing you should do tomorrow until you ditch me?” He stared in curious.
“What? I don’t ditch you.”
“You do.”
“Aw, come on… Hikaru,” Yabu persuaded. “I just can’t go with you for a day. It’s not like I’m going to leave you forever. You know the best that you and our family are the things that I could never abandon.”
“So, what’s that important thing?”
“I can’t tell you yet.” Yabu’s answer only made Hikaru pouted.
“You’re playing secret with me now?”
“I’ll tell you everything after I’ve done, okay?”
“You aren’t going to see anyone, are you?”
“See whom?” Yabu chuckled. “Of course not. Don’t think the unnecessary. It’s not good for your health.”
“Fine.” Hikaru gave up forcing Yabu to tell him.
“Let’s go to sleep now.” Yabu suggested, seeing the clock on the wall.

Daiki was sitting on the park bench, waiting for Hikaru to come. He had received a mail, telling him to wait there. Five minutes later, he heard someone called his name.
“Dai-chan!!!”
Daiki turned his gaze to the voice. He found his new friend was waving at him from the car, smiling widely like a happy little child. He waved back and approached the older one.
“Waited long? I’m sorry. We just paid a visit to my mom’s grave.” Hikaru asked, getting out of the car. Today was his routine to visit his mom’s grave just to deliver some carnations and told her about his life recently.
Daiki shook his head. “No. Hello, Yabu-san.” He greeted Yabu who was walking to Hikaru’s side.
“Hi!” Yabu tersely said.
“So, are you really not going with us?”
Yabu nodded his head. “Yeah. I just dropped Hikaru off here. I have something to do today.”
“I’ve tried to persuade him but failed.” Hikaru sadly confessed.
“Don’t put that ugly face on, Hikaru.” Yabu slightly ordered. “I know very well that you’ve been waiting for today. Happy Town Amusement Park’s grand opening. So I don’t want you to miss it for me.”
“Yeah… yeah…”
“Beside, all of us could go together next time, couldn’t us?” Yabu added, trying to convince the smile of his life to just enjoy his day to the fullest.
Hikaru nodded.
“So, Daiki-kun, I trust Hikaru to you today. Please, take care of him.”
“Don’t worry, Yabu-san. I’ll do my best to please Hikaru-chan.” Daiki beamed but then changed to slightly afraid as he realised Yabu was deathly glaring at him.
“So, be careful there, sweetie.” Yabu said, stressing his last word. “Don’t try to flirt with some young girls.”
“What??! I never-” Hikaru protested but stopped as Yabu ruffled his newly hair cut.
“Just don’t mind anyone who tries to steal you from me, understand?”
Although the younger pouted, he nodded while fixing his messing hair.
“Ok, I have to go now or else I’ll be late.”
“Hmm… take care on your way.”
“See ya… Daiki-kun.”
Daiki tersely bowed his head.
“AH!” Yabu suddenly remembered. “I almost forget.” He, then, leaned in and planted a soft kiss on Hikaru’s forehead before getting into his car.
After waving hands and Yabu’s car could not be seen anymore, Daiki uttered, “Let’s go now, Hikaru-chan.”
Hikaru smiled innocently.
Daiki stretched his hand, wanting to take a hold of Hikaru’s hand but suddenly Yabu’s deathly glaring came across his mind and made him to hold back his hand.

“We’re home!” Ryousuke and Yuuto said.
“Welcome.” Ryuutarou’s deep voice greeted them without even bothering to see his brothers.
“You’re late.” Yabu complained from the kitchen.
“It must be Ryousuke-nii’s fault.” Ryuutarou guessed.
“You’re right, Ryuu-chan.” Yuuto responded. “It’s this guy fault. He crazily selected strawberries to be bought.”
“What??? Strawberries??? You bought them again?????”
“Yes!” Ryousuke happily admitted.
“But… we just eat those last week. Don’t waste money for them.”
“It’s a special discount, papa, don’t worry.”
“But… how will you”
“He could make anything with these stuff, papa.” Yuuto replied before Yabu had time to finish his question, bringing all the strawberries and vegetables and other stuff to the kitchen.
Yabu could only take a deep breath and shook his head. “Hurry up, go to your room and change your clothes. We should finish this before Hika-papa gets home!”
“Okay… papa!” Ryousuke and Yuuto said in unison.

When Hikaru got home after having a very good day with Daiki, he was surprised to find his house seemed like empty as there was no light. “No one comes home, yet?” He mumbled.
Suddenly, the lights turned on when he entered with a chorus of noisy ‘Welcome home’.
Hikaru chuckled while trying to adjust his sight with the sudden light. “What? What?”
“How’s your day?” Yabu asked from the kitchen.
“Very fun.” Hikaru replied, placing his shoes on the shelf. “Wait a minute….” He realised something was different. “Have you just cleaned up this house?” He asked as his gaze roamed around the room and smelled a lavender scent, so relaxing. Even there were some fresh Lilies in the living room.
“Yes. Hika-papa.” Ryuutarou replied.
“EHHH?? For real??” Hikaru was surprised. “Don’ t you guys really hate that work??”
“Well… today’s an exception.” This time, Yuuto.
“Exception?” Hikaru was dumfounded.
“Let’s go to the main place.” Ryousuke suggested, dragging his other papa to the kitchen.
Hikaru widely opened his eyes to see their dining table had already been full by meals - it was surprising as he was the one in-charge of cooking- and there was a Daisies and Sunflowers bouquet on the place where he always had a seat. “What’s going on here? It’s not my birthday.” He wondered, frowning as Yabu gave the bouquet and invited him to have a seat.
“Just read the card on the bouquet, papa.” Yuuto suggested, smiling happily.
“Happy Mother’s Day!” The four exclaimed in unison, surprising Hikaru when the latter was registering the card.
There were some words wishing for him along with a hand drawing of 2 men with 3 boys which he concluded as the five of them.
“Do you dislike it, Hika-papa?” Ryousuke asked, noticing Hikaru’s eyes were shining by tears and how serious he was.
Hikaru immediately looked down, clutching the card and the bouquet with his other hand.
The four exchanged glances to each other, confused by Hikaru’s act.
“We-we’re sorry if we hurt your feelings and pride, papa.” Yuuto apologised with worry in his voice.
“We know you’re a man and it’s just a crazy idea to celebrate Mother’s Day for you- but…” Ryuutarou carefully stated.
“We want to celebrate it… even for once.” Ryousuke added. “You know that all my friends have been making fuss over Mother’s Day? They excitedly told what they’re going to do for their moms while I could only listen to them without being able to say anything.”
Hikaru slowly lifted up his head, looking at his children.
“We’re really sorry, Hika-papa.” It was the three boys’ turn to look down. “We promise, we won’t do this again.”
