1. 2008 Spring Concert
“Yabu-kun, could we do a fanservice today?” Hikaru asked.
“What kind of fanservice?” Yabu lightly retorted without any enthusiasm as he somehow a bit upset with the boy who was talking with him.
“Give me an air kiss.” The younger boy smiled, showing his adorable teeth.
The unofficial leader of JUMP blinked his eyes several times as if he could not believe his ears. “What??” He asked in surprise. “That kiss is only for fans. And you aren’t.” He reasoned. What the hell he should treat his fellow band mate as one of his fans??
“In case, you don’t know, I’m a fan of yours.” Hikaru stated without thinking, making Yabu’s jaw dropped down a little.
“You-you’re my fan??”
Hikaru nodded. “Are you that dense until you never realised it??”
Yabu lightly smacked the younger boy’s head. “Fine... since I’m a very humble and good idol, I agree.” He said eventually.
“Really??” Hikaru beamed. He was filled by happiness.
“But with one condition.”
Hearing the last sentence, Hikaru suddenly felt insecure, noticing the grin plastered on Yabu’s face. “What?”
“You have to come to my hotel room after this concert...”
Hikaru gulped, hearing the request. He had actually avoided coming to the older boy’s room.
“ALONE” Yabu ended, giving Hikaru the best smile he had which could make Hikaru shiver. “Just tell me before we’re on stage, you have a plenty of time to think.” He tapped Hikaru’s shoulders before leaving him to join other JUMP members.
In the end, Hikaru decided not to do his idea about giving fanservice with Yabu Kouta as he feared the consequence he had to bear after the concert ended. Regarding the smirk Yabu gave him before, Hikaru knew for sure that Yabu already had something ‘evil’ in his mind to invite him to his hotel room where they would end up only the two of them.
2. 2010 YY Jumping
“What’s on your hands, Yabu?” Hikaru casually asked as Yabu entered their dressing room in YY Jumping studio.
“The material for today’s recording.” Yabu answered as he gave Hikaru a copy. “And don’t call me ‘Yabu’ when it’s only the two of us.” He reminded.
“We’re on work, Yabu Kouta-san.” Hikaru retorted.
Yabu sighed. Hikaru was still mad at him. “How long do you wanna be mad at me?? I’ve said ‘I’m sorry’, haven’t I?”
Hikaru put his hands on his waist, glaring at the older boy. “Do you think an apology is enough after what you’ve done to me yesterday???? You made me waiting for 2 hours and then you cancelled our date just because your parents were going to buy you a pair of soccer shoes?????”
Yabu could only scratch his non itchy head as he realized he had been so mean towards Hikaru yesterday. It could not be helped, though, as the shoes are limited item. “So... what should I do to get your forgiveness?” He asked softly, giving Hikaru the best pleaded face ever.
A sigh surpassed Hikaru’s lips. No matter how much he wanted to ignore Yabu as his punishment, his pleaded face was something he could not leave alone. “I’ll think it la-...” He stopped his sentence as something on the material papers caught his attention. “Nee... Are we going to give a kind of blow-kissing??”
“Yeah...” Yabu replied.
“Naruhodo..” Hikaru smiled. “Now you have a way to get my forgiveness.”
“What’s that??”
“When you blow, direct it to where I’m standing.” Hikaru ordered lightly.
“Hey...” Yabu whined.
“If you don’t, we’ll ONLY talk about work-related things for a month.”
“Bu-but...” Yabu tried to argue but eventually nodded in agreement as the glint on Hikaru’s eyes hinted him that he was not on kidding mode.
Soon, one of staff called them to do rehearsal for the hands bell. And due to the nerve, the two of them forgot completely about ‘Yabu’s punishment’.
3. 2010 JUMP dressing room
“Nee... Hikaru, why are you so gloomy today? Something’s bothering you??” Yabu concernedly asked as he pulled Hikaru’s head to his shoulder.
Hikaru did not answer, just nodding.
“Mind telling me?”
“You.” Hikaru tersely answered.
“Eh?? Me??? Am I bothering you??? Ch-chotto.... I don’t do anything wrong.”
“You forgot your promise.”
“Promise?” Which promise? Yabu innocently asked as he did not have any clue.
Hikaru pouted.
“You didn’t give him your blow kiss when you’re recording live stages yesterday.” Ryuutarou who was working on his homework answered in Hikaru’s place.
“Ah...” Yabu finally got it.
“So mean as always...” Yamada responded calmly. “A gentleman should keep his words.”
“Watch your tongue, Ryousuke-san!” Yabu warned and Yamada just stick his tongue out.
“I feel I’m not loved anymore... you always neglected me now.” Hikaru said sadly, lowering his head down.” I feel I’m not important to you anymore.” Hikaru sighed.
“Then just break up already.” Yamada barged in.
“The moment you dare to speak another words, I’ll make sure you’re fired from this agency!!!!” Yabu threatened.
“If you do that, I’ll quit as well.” Hikaru’s words successfully made Yabu speechless.
Yamada and Ryuutarou just giggled in happiness. It was so fun to tease Yabu when Hikaru was around.
“Nee... As a make up, how about I treat you a dinner tonight?”
“I’m on diet.”
Yabu rolled his eyes. Hikaru always turned his sensitive side on recently. He should be more careful not to make things worse. “So... have anything you want? I’ll give it as a make-up then.”
“Anything?” Hikaru perked up, his face shone a bit seeing Yabu nodded his head. “Jaa, go over there and give me air kiss.”
Yabu widened his eyes. Although he had a little objection, he still stood up and spaced himself far enough from Hikaru. “Just this time, I’ll do this thing.” He commented.
Hikaru smiled ear to ear as he saw Yabu moved further and further.
“Saa...”
But... Yuuto suddenly barged in, shouting. “Taihen da!!!!”
Everyone turned to look at Yuuto.
“Raiya has a fever.... I can’t concentrate! I can’t concentrate! What should I do?? What should I do???” Yuuto endlessly said worriedly, asking everyone.
Everyone sighed again. Yuuto always turned to helpless state if his beloved brother was ill. And although Hikaru was the most disappointed one, he kept giving his care to Yuuto by giving some suggestions, helping Yuuto to calm down himself.
4. 2010 Summary
“Nee... Yabu-chan, give me an air kiss.” Hikaru said in sudden during a show that summer.
Yabu smiled hearing the request, he immediately kiss his hand and was about to give it when he realized they were in the middle of concert. Both of them were being the focus of thousand pairs of eyes. As much as he wanted to please Hikaru, it, was somehow embarrassing.
“What?? No!”
“Yabu-chan...” Hikaru sweetly called, trying to persuade Yabu with his cute voice just like when he voiced his dog.
“Noooooo!!! You know that I won’t do that even for a fan.”
Hikaru pouted. “Yabu-kun is so cold.”
Yabu sighed then tried some attempts to distract Hikaru and the audiences from that air-kiss thing.
In the end, he however, granted the younger boy’s wish, realizing the very slight loneliness in those dark orbs he always found himself fall for. Therefore, he kissed his fingertips and gave his flying kiss to Hikaru, ignoring his earlier statement.
Hikaru grinned in happiness. Finally he could get this done.
