don't hate him just yet. there are all kinds of theories on the good ol' information super highway that he may have been acting under dumbledore's orders. i'm inclined to believe the theories and that it's another one of jkr's "look! i fooled you into thinking this but it's actually this way!" twists that will be revealed by book 7.
yeah, that's what i think/hope will happen. snape has always been my boy, and i don't want to label him "evil" just yet. i donno, jkr always has crazy twists and turns up her sleeve--like in book III introducing sirius as a mass murdering volemort-supporter...but then wait! he was framed, and he's actually a pretty awesome guy! that sort of thing...
