question, did we have a computer class together back at kellogg with mr mass? i know in high school i remember seeing you now and then in japanese class during breaks, you seemed very energetic and tended to be laughing with a group of friends quite often. i remember you signed my year book and said we should hang out some time and i was all like, that guy's cool

While eating breakfast one morning at t-caf in freshman year, Calvin and I sat down at a table full of Calvin's old shorecrest friends (featuring tanner). The meal went along uneventfully, until Terry jokingly offered anyone at the table the rest of his crust. Tanner, excited, took Terry up on the offer. Needless to say, Terry was amazed. For most of their future encounters through the rest of fall quarter 2003, Terry would just refer to Tanner as "CRUST!!!" and then walk away laughing. They became the best of friends shortly after.
