Where do I start?

I want to start watching dr who because I have never seen any of it but I want to know if its best to start with the origional series or with the newer stuff and I figured I would ask here since I believe most of you have at the very least more experience with the show then I do.

I would start with the new series, that starts with the Ninth Doctor.

You might think that the first handful of episodes are a bit silly, but stick with it, it gets better - WAY better!

My favorite Doctor so far is the newest, Eleven.

I came into Doctor Who by accident (discovered Torchwood first). Personally, I would suggest starting with the Nine and then the awesomeness that is Ten (lol, yes I'm biased). I'm slowly getting around to the older stuff too. It's all good!

Ten is my next favorite. I still have to finish that ElevenxHakkai Saiyuki/DW crossover!

The best I can say about Eleven right now is that I no longer hate him with all the burning passion I once did. -_- Dude, David Tennant is a hard act to follow. I knew I would feel that way about whoever replaced him. I'm trying, though.

Though Eleven/Hakkai does sound interesting...

I hear you... it took me a half the first season to fall in love with Eleven, since I was still stuck on Ten.

The fic was originally going to be Ten/Hakkai, but my bff-beta charliesmum and I decided that Hakkai would probably get along with Eleven better.
