Its just Yojimbo. That, the Eastwood movie and Miller's Crossing were all based on some book- forget the name. Basic plot: guy goes into town, makes two rival gangs fight against each other and destroy themselves, carries on his way.

Maybe Sanjuro and For a Few Dollars More were also based on one book too... dunno.

Sanjuro and For a Few Dollars More have very little to do with one another. The stories are quite different. The only link is that they're both sequels/prequels to movies that are closely related.

I think Leone had got into enough trouble for ripping off Yojimbo. He wasn't going to make that mistake again.

Probably just meant that sanjuro inspired a few dollars more. Not in the yojimbo-fistful of dollars way but more in a hidden fortress-star wars way?
