I recently watched this film for a culture class, and if you haven't seen it, GO RENT IT. It was a fantastic film, by far one of my faves by Kurosawa.

I loved that one. Although seeing Richard Gere in a Kurosawa film was sort of bizzare.

yeah, but i liked it. His broken Japanese was kinda cute. ^^;;;
