Doesn't resemble any kanji I know off the bat, looks more like Korean hangul than anything.

Bangla
letters than any "hieroglyphs" (which is not the correct term) or kanji.

that would have been my call as well, it doesn't have the lines for Chinese/Japanese/Korean.
My guess is, it was some clever dick graphic designer, and in the words of Dirk Gently, it can mean whatever makes you happiest.

And it is good to find out, that the sign does not mean really anything in Chinese/Japanese/Korean, hopefully it will not anything shameful in Hindi/Sanskrit/Bangla as well )

I am looking even for a slight resemblance.
Logo can not carry any shameful meaning in any language.
