Title: No Need To Say Goodbye
Genre: Angst/Drama
Rating/Warnings: K
Summary: A fatal mistake. A want to move on. A need to come back. The rain has brought many misfortune. Will there ever be the sun?

They had been allies. They had an established relationship. They had a somewhat connected history. America had been under England's care. The loving and sweet child, forever gone and only remained in memories. They had been enemies. They had wars. Their affiliation was nowhere to be found. Where did it go?

Sweet and loving cries of America, chimed as he'd run to the older nation's warm embrace. Soft whispers of I love you will be exchanged and England would place a kiss on the child's forehead. They'd go back home from the meadows, large hand clasping the tiny palm as they'd race the sunset. Laughter filling the crisp air of October.

No need to say goodbye, cried he as he tried to break free from his charge. With no such fear, America pointed his musket at
him. The rain started pouring, England stood at the middle of the battlefield stoically, watching his now former colony's retreating back. The only one who proclaimed his love, now walking away from him.

My precious angel, I need to see you now. All but in vain were England's desperate pleas to bring back America.

The innocent feelings were now tarnished with fearless battle cry. All of it caused by selfishness. Years went on and the once powerful empire was a mere country when the war had finally ceased.

You'll come back when it's over, England murmured as he placed a hand on America's face, a weak smile gracing his lips. His once vibrant emerald eyes, now void and held no single emotion. Any moment now, it might be his end.

No need to say goodbye, love. I'm glad you've grown to be so strong. And with a sigh, he closed his eyes.

I'll come back when you call me. No need to say goodbye.

A/N: Well, that's…short. I really planned to not include this in the series...or even upload it. But, heh. Anyway, this is inspired by the song 'The Call' by Regina Spektor. I didn't expect this to be dramatic, but I gave in.

If you're worrying about the previous chapter, guess what? I have the sequel written!
