A Helping Hand 10
A/N: hello this is the next chapter………please review, and hope you enjoy it. Another thing this story might end soon, since the new chapters of one piece have made me happy, so probably 3 or 4 more chapters.
Sitting next to his sleeping friend, Law didn't sleep for days; he just sat there looking at the unconscious blond. Law wished that he could see those blue eyes again, and hear that musical laugh coming out from his unconscious friends’ mouth. A knock came from the door and the boy turned to look at the door grimly.
"Enter" he said in a dead voice.
When the door opened Law saw Jack enter with a tray of food, he was confused as to why the other man was in the ship, but he didn't care much. Everything seemed dull compared to seeing Sabo like that, what was important to him was hanging between life and death.
"You should eat, the young commander wouldn't like it if he wakes up and find you half dead" said the man putting the tray in front of Law. The teen shrugged, turning to look at Sabo and felt disappear eat at his heart.
"If I was there to help him he wou-" Law didn't finish his sentence when he felt something tug on his pants, looking down he saw Bepo.
"The polar bear was lying next to the door" said the older man.
"Bepo"
"Excuse me?"
"His name is Bepo"
"A rum brand?"
"The name of the bar where we first met him, it serves as a reminder of that day"
"It is weird"
"I think so too" said the teen and a hint of a smile on his face and Jack felt relived.

"So I want you two to go and bring the necessary medicines" said Dragon. He called Law and gave him the mission to get him moving. Dragon was worried about the boy too. Law wasn’t happy, but he was the most knowledgeable person on the ship about medicine, even more then the doctor.
Dragon wanted to send Ivankov or Kuma with him, but the new member Jack had volunteered to go with him, and seeing that they get along, he agreed.
"Ok, but someone ha-"
"I will stay by his side" said Kuma and Law turned to look at the usually silent man. Kuma had a calm voice but gave the teen a rare smile. Law nodded to him and then left to get ready.
Law visited Sabo one more time and then went out with Jack, on his way he passed Ron and frowned when he saw him crying, the kid was probably as worried as him about Sabo, he thought with a ping of guilt.

"So how old are you?" asked Jack trying to start a conversation with the teen. Law looked at him and then shrugged.
"Fifteen and you?"
"I am seventeen" Law looked at the man/teen beside him, and then looked at the road. They were getting closer to the shops.
Both teens saw some marines there near that area; Law hid his face with his hoodie and Jack did the same.
"Buy a hat to hide your face, it will be dangerous if they found out" he whispered to his partner, and the teen nodded. Entering into a hat shop, he searched through the hats then chose one that hid his face nicely.
"You want one with the word penguin written on it?" said Law sarcastically.
"Yup, I like animals"
"Okay?" buying the hat both teens went to the medical shop and started to buy the meds, some marines saw them but dismissed them when they saw they were children. Getting all the items they needed; they were both headed back, but a marine stopped them.
"Hey you! Who are you kids? And why are you buying too many medics?" said a gruff marine and both teens got nervous.
"My name is Law and this is...Peng..uin, we buy medics for our sick brothers and sisters" said the younger teen and Jack swept dropped, he was renamed as Penguin.
"Oh okay, you may go" said the man and then both teens turned to go, they couldn’t believe how dumb the marine was.
"Penguin?" whispered Jack.
"Yes, I think it suite you, with your new hat. You might want to change your name to it thought. It would make things easier as a revolutionary"
"Ok….. I guess, so from today onward I will be"
"Penguin" said Law.
"Penguin" repeated Jack displeased.

"Penguin?" asked Ivankov who looked shocked, but then said he wasn't shocked like usual, Law ignored him and looked at Dragon, the man was smiling.
"Guess you have the same odd naming habit like Sabo eh?" at that moment Law smiled, he was happy for sharing a habit with his friend.
‘He is easily pleased’ thought Dragon with a smile of his own.

Returning to the room Law saw the teen still sleeping. Holding his hand, he began to tell him about what happened today. Law talked a lot until he felt wetness on his checks. Wiping the tears off, more tears started to fall from his eyes and then he broke and cried.
Bepo was alarmed when his friend arrived and when he saw him cry, the young polar bear began to lick his legs. The teen didn’t feel him and continued to sob saying something the bear couldn’t understand.
“Sabo, Sabo, Sabo” the boy repeated the word until he heard another voice say the same thing.
“Saaa…booooo” looking at the bear near his feet Law blinked.
‘Did it?’
“saabooo” the bear repeated, he was glad his friend stopped being sad and tried harder.
“saaboo” the boy picked up the bear and hugged him.
“Thank you Bepo”
“Beepooo” Law laughed and the bear blinked.
“No, it is BEPO”
“beepoo”
“No, no, it is BE..PO”
“be..po”
“Ok now join them like this, BEPO”
“bepo” the boy hugged the bear and the bear repeated the word again and again.
Law wanted to tell Sabo about his new discovery, but the boy still didn’t wake up.

“Come here Lawrence” he was scared.
“Open your legs” it hurt, his whole body hurt.
“You piece of shit!!” he felt hungry.
“You can have him next” pain was his only friend, his only companion.
Opening his eyes, Law felt a hand over his shoulder rubbing it, raising his head he saw Penguin smiling at him.
“Brought your food”
“Don’t take your hat off, it is dangerous!” snapped Law.
“Ok, ok. But it is only you, me, the bea-”
“Bepo”
“Bepo and Sabo” at the mention of his friend’s name, Law turned to look at the sleeping teen; he moved his hair from his eyes and creased his baby soft checks.
“Do you think he will wake up?” asked Law to his new friend.
“Who knows, but if you believe in him, I am sure he will” said the older teen and put the tray he was holding on the table near the bed, wearing his hat, the older teen exited the room feeling depressed.
Looking at the blond, Law remembered the fit he had in the mission, Penguin didn’t ask about it and he had a hunch that he didn’t tell anyone about what happened. He guessed it the reason why he began to have those horrible nightmares. Law clutched the small hand in his.

Feeling a blanket being dropped over him Law’s eyes shot open and he raised his head, his gray eyes was met with baby blue. Law jumped at the startled boy hugging him with a bone crushing hug.
“Sabo! You woke up” he said between tears.
“Saboo, Bepo”
“Law, y.you are.. cr..ushing me, I can’t breathe” releasing the boy, Law watched him couch then give him a huge grin.
“I didn’t know Bepo learned how to talk” he said and Law laughed.
“Law? Why are you crying?!” said the blond and Law shook his head, Sabo pulled him into a hug and Law rested his head on his small shoulders.
“I am just glad that you are awake, I will get a heart attack if this is just a dream” he said shaking, and the blond rubbed his back in his usual comforting manner. Law was glad for having a great friend like the blond, he felt his eyes grow heavy and tried to resist his much needed sleep, but the hand on his back lulled him into a deep slumber.
