Ah yeah, kpop is big in the PI now. It's so crazy. Lol, I went there..like in 2008..which is kind of a long time ago, but it was so funny how people were so into it.
lol that reminds me of how my local Daiso plays Yuna Ito's "Endless Story" and Ai Otsuka's "Peach." (Our local Nijiya - and I use the term "local" loosely as I live thirty minutes from Japantown - doesn't play music.) They also used to play "Flavor of Life" a lot, which amused me greatly being the HYD/Utada fan I am. haha.
And obviously, "American" (i.e. not Asian) grocery stores always play English songs I know lol.
Haha, well yeah, these weren't "american" grocery stores but usually they always play like...err..songs I don't know that are more for the more adult mature shoppers.
XD I did sing along and I probably butchered some of the lyrics but..hey, what can I do? lol. my sister got mad at me for being so weird haha
Lol well that's better than the weird Chinese ballroom music (it's like, tangos and boleros and paso dobles, but featuring synthesisers and traditional Chinese instruments) played at our local Asian market XD
haha i love hearing songs i know at stores too! i usually don't know a lot of songs though. :( i hear a few kpop songs at really asianized malls. i remember hearing keep the faith by KAT-TUN though. GOOD MEMORIES :')
