I have a finished draft sitting in front of me
I look for other things to do
Like going on World of Warcraft or
Pick up a book to read and bask in a published author's
Awesomness
I see a call for submission from an oh
So coveted publisher, for

Heh, I'm the same way--getting distracted when I should be writing/revising, and being tempted to query when I know the manuscript isn't ready. Luckily, it's gotten easier for me to resist premature querying. Distractions, though... XD

Luckily I don't even think about querying yet. Maybe it's because the idea scares the crap out of me when I know I'm not ready yet. But distractions when I could be writing, when I could be finished with something great... will forever be the death of me. I could be alone in a solid white room, with no sound, no furniture, and nothing but my book and a pen and I'd still find some way to avoid it some days. Which really only makes me mad at myself so I'm not even sure why I do it.

Why do we hide from our dreams? I doubt I'll ever have an answer....
