Another one despises Catwoman, no matter what potential she might have as a character; an impression he has solely from Catwoman in other media.
That, I can understand a bit better. That is, until Brubaker and Cooke's run, followed by Henchgirl, whose understanding of the character is astounding and insightful. I don't know if your friend might be receptive to this sort of thing, but maybe you could point this friends to Henchgirl's excellent and exhaustive origin of Selina from the comics?

Yeah, I know. The closest thing to a reasoning she gave me when it comes to the three ladies was that they were potentially great, great, GREAT threats and characters, which I understand, I guess. The Joker is, well, the Joker, but I have no idea how she can honestly say tht everyone else are boring. (Two-Face, who is possibly my favorite (duh!), she thinks of as a boring, vengeful prick. I do sincerely not agree with her!).
I don't know if your friend might be receptive to this sort of thing...I'm considering it, but given his glaring disinterest in the character and the fact that I had to gather up courage for almost a year to plow through the whole thing , I'm not so sure. I mean, DAMN, was it worth it, but I doubt that he'll read it ( ... )
