there was a storm last night....in eugene?!?!?!
amazing. thunder and lightning and wind. it wasn't all that impressive, but still....I'll take it. :D

in other news, having neighbors that smoke, sucks. my room smells thickly of cigarettes this morning, and it makes me want to go vomit on their doorstep.

We get one every couple of years. Sometimes they're really cool: knocking over trees and blowing up power transformers. This year was assuredly lackluster, but at least the lights flickered once.

I recommend taking up a habit that's just as upsetting as smoking in their eyes, then trading it with them. Possibly you could learn to yodel.

I know I saw a flash and then thought I heard thunder so I had Mike mute the TV and we ran outside. We waited and waited but didn't see another flash. Heard a bit more thunder and got a drop or two of rain on our foreheads.

That is soooo unpleasant! That happened to us every summer we lived in spencerview, luckily here it doesn't seem to be a problem yet.
I know the people next door do smoke so hopefully the smoke continues to not blow into our house.
If I were you I would complain to management, it worked a few times for us.
