Geez. I don't know how I'd react other than hide from my mother for a while. I value privacy as well, and you're right-there are some things that just shouldn't be shared with the parental unit. It doesn't matter how old we are...those are just the rules.
she came round the next day. unnanounced. She NEVER does that. She just popped over to see how I was. I didn't react so well to that. She's called me like...5 times today. *sigh*
ha ha i'm 32 and there are things i still haven't told my Dad. It's quite often just easier to not disclose things... there are enough things I've done in my life to give him grey hairs!!!
hahaha yeah, there are some things that parents just should not know. I mean, look at it in the other way, *I* wouldn't want to know if *she* did it. So why would she want to know about me?
Mothers have this way of really knowing how to get on your nerves while appearing to be doing 'the right thing'. It's almost like they can invade your privacy without you being allowed to get annoyed. My mother does essentially the exact same things. She has a spare key and goes into my house when my girland i are at work and makes a cup of tea etc and im like WHY!? not to mention, my girl isnt living with me at the moment and now the house is generally alot messier, i leave 'things' in the bathroom and stuff everywhere - but it is MY house, you know? Just remember that you are an adult and you did not invite her in and she has no right to have opinions on such things.
my mother is particularly blessed with bad timing. I don't know how she does it. The amount of times I've been caught in compromising positions etc, just because she has no respect for a closed door. *sigh*
Thankfully she has never come around to my flat before, so hopefully she doesn't make a habit of it. If she does I'm going to pretend to lose my keys and get the spare key back...
