So, it turns out Wizards of the Coast is releasing 4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons in May 2008, a mere 3 years after version 3.5 came out. So now, those like $700 worth of books I own? I heard about the 4th Ed. Note that just because 4th ed is coming does not mean you have to give up 3rd. There's SHIT-TONS of 3rd Ed material, and if you don't want to switch, don't.

Also, look at it like this: If you want any 3rd Ed books, you'll start to see fire sales soon. Time to buy up any old material you don't have.

But I wouldn't get rid of them: I still have my 2nd Ed Books, and some of them (like the Planescape books) are FAR superior to the 3rd Ed equivalents. Even if you convert over, the old stuff is worth keeping.

Do you have any idea what the major changes are? I might have to pick up the Player's Handbook out of curiosity. 8 years is a decent run for a rule set, it was probably time.

But you should play World of Darkness anyways.

See you in a week!
