Maybe you should do some research, and pirate a 3D modeling application. Try to get the hang of it? Like...actually start creating some really original characters with a tool set that truly lets you do whatever you want. Tim, dude, if you can teach yourself how to do something like that as well as you work with any other tool set you've ever used then you could almost get a job making characters without even getting a degree...

Of course, the degree would only make you worth more and earn more.
